Britain’s Red Phone Booths Are Becoming Offices

For many people, Britain’s red phone booths are indispensable symbol of British culture and one of the best designs in the world. They are, indeed. The decline rate in the use of these eye-catching and definitely memorable great design samples therefore are, annoying for many people.

In today’s smart phone era, the red phone booths are becoming history due to their declined usage and as a result, they’re placed on the market.  Some are bought by rich art-lovers, being treated as art-items, some are turned into small cafes for use.

The latest news on their usage is completely focused on rescuing them by converting the booths into individual offices. New York based Bar Works company, famous for providing workspace for entrepreneurs, is turning the boxes into small offices. Office users looking to spend $ 1900 per month  can use these tiny but personal spaces 24 hours a day, which come handy with 63 cm screens, wireless mouse, printers and scanners, Wi-Fi and drinks machine and heater that comes as a solution to London’s cold weather. They’re practical, functional and cost-effective.
