Located in the Kuledibi area of Istanbul, the team of this restaurant wakes up every morning in order to serve its customers the delicious food which takes everyone back to their childhood and teenage memories of the Turkish People and opens a point of view for the ones who have never tasted them before.
The photographer Mr.Önder Köse is leading this energetic team which notes that they are not claiming to be the flag carrier of the Anatolian Cuisine but are aiming to add ethnicity to the delicious food spreading out from history and Anatolia to the bigger cities like Istanbul and Ankara.
Kiva was once a name given to a coffeehouse in old Istanbul. Those days, this coffeehouse attracted many tourists and spread the name abroad. This is exactly what Kiva Han does now with its menu of hard-to-choose alternatives of different cheeses, special butter, kinds of honey, jams, and marmalades, many different boreks (pastries filled with cheese ), cakes and other bakery.
The place is not designed with too many tiring objects, but rather plain with motives reminding the Ottoman and Seljuk Empires.
It does not matter if the customers want to taste Elazig kofte or Moussaka, Kiva Han serves them all with the well-chosen, fresh ingredients, shaped in trained and well experienced cooking hands. Not to forget that it appeals to any day time, any meals (Breakfast & Lunch and Dinner with different branded Wines)
Galata Kiva Han joined forces with D.ream (Doğuş Restaurant Entertainment and Management) and opened also restaurants in Bomonti Istanbul (the first beer bottling company of Turkey, renovated now), Kanyon Shopping Mall Istanbul and Ankara Next Level Shopping Mall.
