Singapore-based BonAppetour, can be considered as the food version of Airbnb. The platform supplies service to all over the world since it got two major investors to support it with $500.000 in total. Those names are; ; entrepreneur and investor, Wong Toon King and Telecommunications infrastructure contractor firm, Prasetia Dwidharma.
BonAppetour, helps people to reach homes with the possibility of tasting local dishes in cities. It was established in 2013 and quickly became popular in many European countries.
The team, places data on the platform after selecting local locations carefully, having done the research and after visiting their homes. That’s not the only job, it checks the places for meeting the criteria for the laws of hygiene in accordance with the country.
Co-founder and CEO, Rinita Vanjre Ravi says; the ‘sharing economy is warming up, and now people are much open to meeting local people and culture than they used to.’

later, requesting more cities to be added to the list. The platform is rapidly growing and good news; colourful city Istanbul is currently on it. The site provides service already in English, Spanish, Indonesian, French, Italian, Portuguese, Vietnamese, Japanese and Thai.
