Karl Lagerfeld, the giant name in the fashion industry for over 60 years is now about to leave his signature in the tourism field by opening his own hotel chain by 2018. In addition to having left his mark in interior design of hotels and suits, he will now own a series of them carrying his artistic taste and signature.
83-year-old fashion designer, collaborated with Lee Crillon in Paris and the Metropole in Monaco in hotel design before, however, his first hotel in Macau will be designed completely by him.
The first hotel opening in Macau, the luxury Lisbon Palace Complex, will have gambling casinos since it is in the only region in China where gambling is legal, restaurants and the Versace Palace. Lagerfeld was in the total control of the 6-star, 20-story hotel’s design which will open in 2017.
The details of the giant hotel chain has not yet been shared nor a photo or a residential plan has been leaked but since the artist is known with his signature aesthetic line of black and white, any building carrying the same attitude shouldn’t be surprising. Also since Lagerfeld is popular with his creative inspiration stemming from his muse – his cat- any design pertaining the muse is already expected.
